CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

YUFlow | WARM | 60 & 75 minutes

A class that is based around Vinyasa yoga. This class is a great mix of stretching, strengthening, balance and breath work.

Balance and movement combined to help you channel your fitness and flexibility.The poses are connected together smoothly, so that you flow from one posture into the next. Especially recommended to those who want to start their Vinyasa practice and want to build a solid foundation.

There will be a mixture of standing and floor postures with breathing techniques. Teachers will add their own signature to make each YUFlow class an individual and fun experience. A class for every ability you will discover strength and flexibility and work your whole body, great for all levels, allows for evolution on the mat. Warm class.

YUFlowcalm | WARM | 60 & 75 minutes

All level class. Great for building yoga confidence. YUFlowCalm is designed to go deeper into your practice both mentally and physically in a warm room this allows for a sense of renewal and release.  The YUFlowCalm class releases tension and builds strength at the deepest level. There will be standing and floor postures and concentration on deeper relaxation and release that brings a state of calm allowing you to deepen in your practice.

A calming, meditative experience for all, beginners and experienced yogis are supported and encouraged. The sequence may vary from teacher to teacher but the intention of the class is nurture and calm. 

A warm room.

Inferno HIIT Pilates | HOT | 50 & 60 minutes

Inferno Hiit Pilates class will strengthen you while helping you align and sculpt your body. Through an uninterrupted flow of breath and movement Inferno Pilates will improve mobility, stability and coordination.

This is a challenging and transformative practice set to music, with a focus on quality, control and slow but deep burn. Great for everyone even people with bad knees or joint issues who still want an intense total workout.

The room will be heated for this class. An amazing class for all levels. Inferno Hiit Pilates will boost fitness and cardio ability.

YUYY | 75 minutes

The class of peak then pause. This class will be warm in the environment and warm in its atmosphere . The class will strive to take you to a posture peak, then bring you back to a total yin state of bliss. A fun mix of yang into yin with time to achieve yin serenity. An all level class with music for the heart and soul.

YU Inversion + FLOW | 60 minutes

Whether you are NEW to going upside down or already confident on your hands, this class will help you build your strength and confidence for your inversions and arm balances. We will work hard, but we will also have fun! Each session will begin with stretches and drills designed to warm up the body and keep you safe and engaged. These specialized drills, core work, and focus on strength-building are about facilitating you with the skills and knowledge to use during your practice.

Not necessarily a traditional yoga class; the class will prepare you to incorporate inversions into your yoga practice and add power to your practice through strength. A perfect add-on to your weekly classes these skills will translate seamlessly into all of your other classes.
Expect some hard work, definitely some laughs, and new challenges to explore through movement practice!

Gong and Nurtur-Yin Deep Relax | 75 Minutes

This 75 minute class is an opportunity to experience two transformative holistic practices in one session. Nurturing Yin yoga is a quiet, slow practice with a restorative emphasis. Working slowly in long held poses to allow for release of physical and mental tension, the practice allows the body to unwind and find a deep release.

This class is a perfect complement to our fast-paced lifestyles.
This class is suitable for those seeking to enhance their yoga knowledge and those recovering from injuries or wishing to relax deeply and let go.

The Nurtur-Yin aspect of the class will last around 45 minutes and will be followed by a 30 minute gong bath, to immerse you in a deeply meditative state. The gong is an ancient instrument that works on all levels to heal and transform. It releases blocks, reduces tension and it can help us ease deeper into relaxation. Please feel free to bring a blanket or extra jumper to wear at the end of practice for the gong section. The room will be warm. All level class. Great for building yoga confidence.

NURTUR-YIN-FLOW BY CANDLE LIGHT | WARM | 60 Minutes

This 60 minute class is an opportunity to completely submerse yourself in a nurturing flow blended with Yin yoga this is a quiet, slow practice with a restorative emphasis. Working slowly in long held poses (mostly on the mat), the practice allows the body to unwind and find a release.

This class is a perfect complement to our fast-paced lifestyles.
This class is suitable for everyone also those seeking to enhance their yoga knowledge and those recovering from injuries or wishing to relax deeply.

The Nurtur-Yin-Flow yoga class will immerse you into a deeply meditative state. It releases blocks, reduces tension and it can help us ease into deeper relaxation. The room will be warm.

YUBegin | 60 Minutes

Beginners and all level curious. A YUBegin class is the ideal way to begin your yoga journey/practice and discover yoga in a safe and fun space. It is perfect for beginners and suitable for anyone looking to revisit the fundamentals/basics of yoga or to gain a better understanding of areas of their practice that are confusing or you feel need focus.

The practice builds week-by-week, introducing you to the basics of yoga postures (asanas), healthy alignment and breath techniques (pranayama). You'll also learn simple meditation and relaxation techniques, always working at a pace that means you learn slowly and thoroughly, step by step.

This class creates a strong and safe foundation and growth so you can explore the other yoga classes at Yoga Union with confidence and reassurance in your practice. Please be sure to let your teacher know before class if you have any form of injury or if you are pregnant or have recently had a baby. The room is not heated but the class will introduce the heat for the final 10 mins in relaxation.

These classes are gentle and in depth but still a whole practice they will allow you to breath and connect and take some time to focus and grow.

YUFlowDynamic | 60 Minutes

A class that is based around Vinyasa yoga. This class is a great mix of stretching, strengthening, balance and breath work.

Balance and movement combined to help you channel your fitness and flexibility.The poses are interconnected.

Recommended for those who want to progress their practice and evolve into a deeper exploration of what it is to be on the mat. There will be a mixture of standing and floor postures with breathing techniques and some variation/fun exploration of some of the traditional postures. Teachers will add their own signature to make each YUFlowDynamic class an individual full body journey to keep you curious on the mat. A warm class.

YU RocketBeats | 60 Minutes

All levels NO HEAT .... RocketBeats 60 minute class is a breath-based practice born out of the Rocket system. It is a fun, challenging style of yoga set to an energising playlist. While there is a structure, there are no set sequences. Instead, the practice has different directions to target all body parts. "Up" will work your shoulders (strength & flexibility), "Down" will target your hips and legs (think one leg balances and hip openers). "Forwards" works your front body compression (yes, those hip flexors) and back body opening and last, but not least "Backwards" takes care of opening your front body and building strength in your backbends. Everybody with an open mind, willing to try new things (even if they don’t work out the first time) is welcome to join this dynamic practice, developed by Imi Wiseman and Alan Ellman. Enjoy and have fun whilst practicing.

YUBikram | hot | 60 & 75 & 90 minutes

YU Bikram is Yoga Union's hottest class the room is heated to 39 degrees. The class is based on the original 26 and 2 Bikram class designed to detoxify and strengthen the body.

This class is a set posture sequence and will follow a set of postures that allow for growth in every class. The sequence is easy to follow, and whilst the postures can be challenging they do enable an entry-level. As you move through the classes you will be encouraged by your improved ability, great for beginners and experienced yogis alike an ideal class for building strength and stamina.
